Privacy policy

This site presents the practice of Dr Andrew Bui-Nguyen (Andrew Bui-Nguyen MD Inc.). This policy explains what personal information is collected when you visit it or write to us, what it is used for and how to exercise your rights.

Dr Andrew Bui-Nguyen is the person in charge of the protection of the personal information collected by this site. For any question, request or complaint, you can reach him in one of these ways.

  • By email at info@lesmoires.ca

The information we collect

This site has no form and creates no account. We only receive the information you choose to send us when you write to us or call us, for example your name, your email address, your phone number and the subject of your request. We use it to answer you and, if you become a patient, to organize your care.

Booking links lead to external platforms, such as Les Moires’ Medfar portal. What you enter there is sent directly to those platforms, not to this site, and falls under their own privacy policy.

Hosting and technical data

The site is hosted by DigitalOcean on servers in Toronto, and every visit passes through Cloudflare, which protects it and speeds it up. Both companies are based in the United States. As with any website, their servers receive your IP address and technical information about your browser when a page loads, and keep them for a limited time to keep the site running and secure. This information may therefore be processed outside Quebec.

Cookies and analytics

Only with your consent, this site uses measurement tools to understand how it is used and improve it. Until you click Accept in the banner, none of these tools is loaded and no cookie is set. This site uses no advertising tracking.

Google Analytics, by Google LLC (United States), measures the site’s audience: pages viewed, where visits come from and how long they last, device and browser type, and an approximate city or region derived from the IP address, which is not stored. It sets the _ga and _ga_* cookies, kept for six months at most. Google keeps this data for two months under a visitor identifier, then only as overall statistics. Google signals and ad personalization are turned off.

Microsoft Clarity, by Microsoft Corporation (United States), records sessions: mouse movements, scrolling, clicks and pages viewed, replayed to find what gets in the way, along with device and browser type and country. All text on the pages is masked in these recordings, and nothing you type is recorded. It sets the _clck cookie, kept for one year at most, and _clsk, kept for one day. Microsoft keeps recordings for 30 days and click statistics for nine months.

This information may therefore be processed outside Quebec.

Your choice is kept in your browser for six months at most, then the banner asks again. You can change it at any time with the button at the bottom of every page. If you refuse, the tools stop and their cookies are deleted.

Links to other sites

The site contains links to other sites, such as media outlets, social networks or Google Maps. They only open if you click on them, and those sites’ privacy policies then apply.

Retention and security

We keep your information only as long as needed for the purposes it was collected for, or longer when the law requires it, for example for medical record keeping. Access to it is limited to the people who need it to answer you or care for you.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time:

  • to access your personal information;
  • to have it corrected or updated;
  • to withdraw your consent to its use or to ask for it to be deleted.

Write to the person named above. If our answer does not satisfy you, you can file a complaint with the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec.
